I like this idiosyncratic book. It was like going on the Interstate, then you take a detour, then you get lost. What starts out (and ends) as a detective story, gets side tracked into a world of drunken lawyers, half-nude women, Minnesota, computerized ankle tracking bracelets, an old Cadillac, porn and….

Well, planned or unplanned these diversions are examined credibly and as a reader I felt privy, not to a well structured plot, but to a disorganized mish mash of life. I don’t know how the ending could be anything less predictable, but by that time…who cares. We’re just enjoying the ride.
